In this study we research the elements important for the privatization of governmental services and organizations. In The Netherlands there was a wave of privatization starting in the Nineties, driven by the belief in the market that would make privatized services better and cheaper. In this research we used 3 case studies, among which the Dutch pilotage, railway and telephone companies. This book is seen as the first study giving a new perspective along side of the dominant idea that would improve everything.
This book is still available, and a follow-up research into the Dutch pilotage and health care sector is coming in 2017.
